Why Adopt A Rescue
Available for Adoption
Everyone loves Ringo; the vet, the groomer, the kennel where he spent the weekend we were away. He loves "his" people, gets along great with other dogs, tolerates all kinds of antics from the young dogs. But when he is at home, he likes a quiet place with few visitors...strange people in his house make him anxious. He belonged to an elderly person who passed away and the family brought him to the shelter. We are thinking visitors to his old home were mean to him, so he gets defensive. He loves to go for walks on the leash, adores "his " people...he would be great in a home with retired people who are home all day and don't have a lot of company. He does settle down with new people after a while. He tends to be very protective, but not aggressive. He is a healthy 8 year old. Ringo is crate trained and would enjoy a fenced yard to run and play in. No small children.
Ringo has gone to his new forever home with a wonderful gentleman in MD.
