Calvin

This is the best sheltie boy ever. Calvin is a sweet, gentle 10 year old sable male. He is calm, friendly, affectionate and loves everyone. He seems good with cats, and would probably be great with older children. He is beautiful and has that special charm and personality that endears him to all that meet him. Calvin has been diagnosed with a heart murmur and is on heart meds, but he is doing fine and with good care he can continue to have a good life. Calvin is eligible for our Senior to Senior program. He would make a great companion for anyone who would love to give a home to a truly wonderful senior sheltie.

Gypsy

This very interesting looking baby girl is Gypsy....she is about 10 months old. She is a reddish sable color, weighing in at about 19 lbs. She is very sweet, walks well on a leash, is good wth other dogs, cats and older children. From her foster mom: Gypsy is doing great. Have continued taking her to work with me and she LOVES the playgroups. I get reports that she is awesome with the other small dogs and always finds one to play/run with. She LOVES stuffed toys. Will carry them around and wants to play tug of war. She is now keeping her room at work clean, no accidents this week and has kept her crate clean here. Although she will bark at people, it is in greeting with tail wagging and just wants everyone to pet her. She loves to sleep in the bed with me until Dave comes in. She goes in her crate when I get her food ready. She sits politely and waits while I give all my guys their meds with peanut butter and then takes a small dollop off a spoon. She loads up in the car on her own and rides well, even on a full stomach. She has learned "wait" when I open the car door. She knows the "pee pee" command and goes immediately after a couple of circles. She has learned "high 5", putting both paws on your hand when given the command. We are still working on the "come" command. She pulled the leash out of my hand one morning and of course thought it was a game. Thankfully a smell stopped her and I stepped on her leash. A fence is a MUST.

Karma

Karma is a 3 year old bi-black sheltie with a bit of BC temperament. She is all energy; loves to run, bark and play fetch. She appears to be all sheltie but has the drive of a border collie; her best friend is a male border collie. She tends to not get along well with other dogs, especially females, so she would do best as an only dog. She is housebroken, listens well and is crate trained. A fenced yard is a must. Due to her drive and energy, no children under 12 please. Karma is being fostered in Kearneysville, WV
